Warning after suspicious incident |
||
|
We are urging residents to be vigilant after reports of a suspicious incident in Essington recently. We were called on Tuesday (13 January) to Wolverhampton Road, after an unknown man had knocked a door and offered to cut a tree, at around 4pm on Monday (12 January). When the homeowner declined, the man became verbally aggressive before leaving the scene. The man is described as white, in his mid-30s, around 5ft 9ins tall, with a beard, wearing a grey hat, light green jacket, red shirt, grey trousers and black shoes. Our inquiries are continuing and local officers are reminding people to make sure they only answer the door to people who they know and are expecting. Anyone with information, CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage should contact us on 101 quoting incident number 152 of 13 January. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
